PARENT MEETING CANCELED
I had planned to have a parent meeting for those of you interested in going to Washington, D.C., but no one responded to my previous post. Therefore, it is canceled. We will try again in two weeks. Keep your eyes peeled!
Dear Crod , I know I havent been doing the best in your class but I plan on showing more commitment in your class . I would really like to have any kind of make up work so that I dont end the 9weeks with a bad grade like an F . If there is anything I can do to possibly pick my grade up I would really appriciate it and I wont let you down .
If you only knew the kind of potential that you have, you would understand why I get so "crazy." You are tremendously bright, and it saddens me when you don't reach your full potential. I am SURE in this nine weeks you will do MUCH better.
Amanda - hyperbole? Not seeing it, though you can try to convince me.
Issis - you got it! Woohoo!
Ali - yes and no. It's not foreshadowing if I am telling you exactly what's going to happen. In a story, the author doesn't write, "Hey, reader, in three more chapters, I am going to kill off the protagonist." LOL! Remember, a shadow is like a silhouette, not completely clear. So if I had hinted at it, and not told you straight up, that would have been foreshadowing. Keep checking back, though...you will eventually find a pot of gold at the end of this rainbow. SMILE :o)
Just like the last post, I think "keep your eyes peeled" is also an idiom because it has a double meaning. This week, by sayig this, you meant to tell us to pay close attention in order to avoid missing important information about thw Washington D.C trip. :D

"Keep you eyes peeled"- hyperbole
:D
"Keep you eyes peeled" can also be PERSONIFICATION (:
"We will try again in two weeks" is an example of FORESHADOWING!
You're foreshadowing that you will schedule another parent meeting for the DC trip in two weeks.
